We are actively seeking OLY & PLY athletes (active and retired), City officials, and other Olympic & Paralympic inspired stakeholders to help relight the Spirit & Flames of the Games in their Host Cities and beyond ... because our role of in SPORT and PEACE does not end with the competitions.

OPC is centered around the global, synchronized re-lighting of symbolic PEACE flames (real or proxy) on the eve of each new Games organized Host City Teams.

Host City Teams of individuals and organizations, including local PEACE partners, organize formal events and venues to share OPC Values (see OPC Proclamation/Shield below).

Based on local needs, interests, and resources, Host City Teams organize additional unique and fun local OPC Add-On Events & Activities -- before, during, and after the Games.

If you are an Olympic/Paralympic-inspired enthusiast and want to celebrate the Spirit of the Games in a Host City, you can join a/any Host City Team and become a Host City Team Champion - from anywhere in the world!
We believe Olympic/Paralympic sites are hallowed grounds and the Spirit of PEACE and fellowship does not end with the competitions. Join us to keep it alive -- locally and globally.
OPC 28 BASICS/Overview
Our Vision
• Imagine all 63* Host Cities of the Olympic, Paralympic, & Youth Games relighting symbolic flames in a global, unified, and synchronized celebration on the eve of each new set of Games -- kicking off at LA 2028.
• The main OPC 28 activity - the relighting of the flame (real or proxy) will take place on OLYMPIC TRUCE DAY - one week before Olympic Opening Ceremonies!
• To this add on-the-ground local events and programs developed locally to further advance the core ideals and values of the Games -- Peace
through sport! -- to youth and others.
• Then imagine the entire effort led by athletes and other inspired local officials and stakeholders working together to keep the Spirit of the Games alive, long after the competitions end and the Games move on.
• This is the essence of OLY PLY PEACE CITIES 28 (OPC 28).

• Engage and empower Olympic & Paralympic inspired enthusiasts in every former and future Host City site.
• Create a brand-new tradition within the international Olympic & Paralympic movement based on the essential PEACE Mission of the Games.
• Showcase each Host City’s unique traditions, experiences, and hallowed grounds -- while uniting all Cities globally as vibrant and enduring platforms of peace.
• OPC 28 GOALS:
1. Sign on 63 OPC Host Cities
2. Build 63 Host City Teams
3. Implement Steps 1 & 2 above in all Cities
4. Identify feasible Add-On Programs
5. Identify possible PEACE Partners

• OLY PLY CITIES 28 is an athlete-led project coordinated by the U.S.-based and globally-oriented Passing The Torch Initiative, a project of Empowerment Works*
• OPC 28 is independent and decentralized as well as complementary and reinforcing of other Olympic & Paralympic events (such as the June 23 Olympic Day) and entities (such as the IOC, IPC, NOCs, OCOGs, WOA, WUOC, etc.).
